16th Gayatri Devi Goenka Memorial Inter-School Basketball Tournament

The 16th Gayatri Devi Goenka Memorial Inter-School Basketball Tournament is being held from 12 to 16 October 2026 at the basketball court of GD Goenka, The Flagship School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

The tournament brings together school teams for five days of competitive basketball, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, strategic thinking and teamwork on the court. As players compete, they also learn the importance of discipline, perseverance, mutual respect and sportsmanship.

Organised in memory of Gayatri Devi Goenka, the annual tournament reflects the enduring value of sports in school education. Basketball encourages students to make quick decisions, work towards shared goals and respond to challenges with confidence and resilience.

With participating teams coming together in the spirit of healthy competition, the tournament celebrates the dedication of young athletes and the role of sporting experiences in their overall development. Through events such as these, GD Goenka continues to create opportunities for students to pursue their sporting interests, build lasting connections and grow through experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
