The 64th Republic Day of India was celebrated at G.D. Goenka World School with a great deal of patriotic zeal and fervour. The day began with the hoisting of the Indian flag by our Principal, Mrs. Neeta Bali, followed by the National Anthem. The entire school courtyard reverberated with the rhythemic beats of “Rang de Basanti” and the Middle school students dancing to it with the tricolour flags fluttering in the air.A broad smile could be seen on everyone's face when the excited nursery students got to release the tri-coloured helium balloons into the air. |

On the 30th of January 2013, the 11th grade students at GDGWS set up a “Walk for Water” campaign to spread awareness about the shortages of clean water and informed young students about the need to save water. This was done through various activities with students of Primary and Middle school. |

The Story Writing Competition “Water as a precious resource” under the ISA Project- WORLD OF WATER was conducted for grade 8 on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. The CAS Project volunteers have invested a lot of time for this event by putting up very sensitizing flyers and posters around the building and talking to Grade VIII students. |

From the 13th to the 15th of December, 89 students from the Year – 2 of the IB Diploma Programme, along with 8 accompanying teachers went for an overnight trip to Dadhikar Fort, in Alwar. The students went in 2 batches, with 43 students going on the 13th and returning on the 14th and the remaining 46 students leaving for Alwar on the 14th and returning on the 15th. |
