Mrs Renu Mattoo ,a gold medalist and an entrepreneur who embarked on a career entailing cross cultural business presentation skills at XLRI, gave an enthralling insight into Personality Development in a practical sense on 1 August, 2012 to the staff of GDGWS.. She drove home the vital fact that personality is an amalgamation of your behavior, attitude and communication skills. In fact, when one refers to personality, it generally implies to that which is unique about an individual, the characteristics that makes one stand out in a crowd. Mrs Mattoo with a great élan demonstrated that Grooming involves ensuring we look our best by all means, including the accessories we wear.

Many students have sought admission to various Classes of the School right from the Nursery to Grade XII. An Orientation Program was conducted for these students and their parents on the 4th of July, 2012. The Assembly Hall was packed with eager parents and their wards.

A group of Diploma senior year students decided to run at the India Gate Lawns as a Goenkan team to display their support to the Global campaign, Healthy Community without Drugs on the 26th June 2012, The International Day against Drug Abuse.

Two Students Secure 44 Points –Astha Shukla and Sayesha Khanna
Astha Shukla has brought laurels to the School once again. She is our IB topper with a score of 44 points .With her conscious consistent effort she has received offers from two Ivy League universities – Brown University and University of Pennsylvania. She will be pursuing Bio-medical Engineering Programme at University of Pennsylvania. She has also been selected to be a part of prestigious Penn World Scholars programme and has been granted a scholarship from the university.

Teaches Observation/Theoretical astronomy to the school students. Astronomy is a natural science that deals with the study of celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, star clusters and galaxies).

The field trip to the National Museum in New Delhi is one of the largest museums in India Established in 1949; it holds variety of articles ranging from pre-historic era to modern works of art. It functions under the Ministry of culture Government of India.

The Buddy Bear Art Exhibition |

The students of our school participated in “The Buddy Bear” art competition on May 4, 2012 organized by Max Muller Bhavan in Central park, Connaught Place. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs. Sheila Dixit. “The United Buddy Bears” promote living together in peace and harmony on a global tour. There are around 140 bears each (2m tall) represents as many Countries recognised by the United Nation. |
