Boarders Enjoy Long Weekend from August 15-17, 2014 PDF Print E-mail

The following weekend activities were conducted for the boarders over the long weekend from August 15-17.

On Friday August 15, boarders celebrated "Independence Day" - Flag hoisting by the Principal, Dr Bali, was followed by Independence day program and Kite flying and face painting . On Saturday, the boarders visited Air Force Museum . On Sunday, August 17, the boarders enjoyed Water games.


GDGWS IGCSE TOPPERS 2013-2014 PDF Print E-mail

This year, the students of IGCSE grade 10 have evinced excellent IGCSE board results .The IGCSE topper is Hua Yu Wang with 91 percent, followed by Nikita Panwar at 89 percent and Hamza Mubarak and Devrat Raghav with an aggregate of 87 percent.

G D Goenka World School , Sohna , received World Education Award for Global Collaborative Learning Initiative at an award ceremony held on Friday , August 8, 2014 at Hotel Eros Hilton, New Delhi by Digital Learning World Education Summit . The Award was received by IGCSE Coordinator, Ms. Shanaz Banoo Butt on behalf of Principal, Dr. Neeta Bali.

 Ms Madhu Bhargava  , Dean of Libraries at  GDGWS  received IASL 2014 SOFTLINK INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE award..She  will also be presenting a professional paper to international audience which is a case study of  international connectivity around the globe classrooms being practised at G. D. Goenka World school through libraries.

G D Goenka World School, Sohna received "Indian Award For Excellence" conferred by a forum that is represented by Hon'able Former Election Commissioner Of India, Dr GVG Krisnamurty . The award was received by the Principal , Dr. Neeta Bali at a seminar on" Economic Growth and National Unity ", where about 50 institutions and professionals from different arenas were recognized.

G D Goenka World School staff visit Partner School in Scotland PDF Print E-mail

G D Goenka World School had embarked on a partnership with the Oban High School in Scotland a year ago. Students undertook various literacy projects and projects related to conservation of Wildlife with the partner school .To further strengthen this partnership, Dr Neeta Bali , The Principal , accompanied by the Dean of Libraries, Madhu Bhargava , visited the Oban High School in June.

Students Of G.D Goenka World School Attend Language Immersion Programme In Paris PDF Print E-mail

Seventeen students, along with two teachers, participated in the language immersion programme at St. Joseph’s School, Paris, from 31st May to 6th June, 2014. This cross-cultural learning was a phenomenal experience for us and the host school as well.

Annual PYP Pool Bash PDF Print E-mail

Summertime is pool time. With soaring temperatures, PYP students flocked to the swimming pool to cool off and to experience the best aqua time ever.

The structured games played in the pool surely lived up to any aqua holiday. As well, they helped to serve as fun ways to get more exercise and build team spirit. All games played were complimenting the theme, Ibiza Aqua Fun.

Dance appreciation workshop for students PDF Print E-mail
The house-meeting slot of Wednesday, 21st May 2014, was utilized by the Dance department to show-case the creativity and talent of our students as they performed a series of dances that displayed rhythm and dexterity through some incredible foot and hand work. It was plain for all to see that our students are not just bundles of energy, but that when this energy is harnessed through dance, they are an absolute delight to watch.
