Making Easter Cards PDF Print E-mail

 To add fun to Easter Celebrations,  Easter card making was organized on Sunday 13th April. Students below Pre IGCSE participated. They were very enthusiastic and showed lots of energy and creativity to design beautiful cards. The cards were addressed to several staff members including our beloved Principal ma’am, Administrative staff, house parents, friends and families. At the end of the day we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learnt amazing things about Easter.

Crazy Hairdo PDF Print E-mail

 “Crazy Hairdo” for students below Pre IGCSE was   held on Sunday 13th April. During the event students were very excited and did everything possible to invent funny hairstyles. They used wigs, pins, colors and lots of other hair accessories. We all wished that the day never ended, but it passed with a blink of eye.

On April 12, 2014, the Grade XII students finally got a chance to wear their graduation gowns! But it was also a moment of tears. It was a time when friends and foes, all joined hands to celebrate their future and mark the end of their school lives.

A Game of Kabbadi was organized for boarders on Saturday 5th April 2014. After Tea, the boys of Grade VIII to X had a great time playing Kabbadi ! The teams were mixed as the juniors and seniors were divided into 2 teams and they played tirelessly till nearly 06:45 PM. They would have played on but for the fact that they had to go in for showers and prepare for dinner.

Treasure Hunt PDF Print E-mail

A treasure hunt was organized for boys up to Grade Pre-IG and Girls up to Grade X on Thursday 10th April 2014. The boys of grade XII acted as captains of the five teams. The hunt started at 10:15 AM and lasted for about an hour or so where each team had to find 12 items.

Reflection of Trekking PDF Print E-mail

On April 10th 2014 boarder boys woke up at 5:45 in the morning and went for trekking to the Aravalli hills behind the school campus. It is about some 400-500 meters before we get to the hill which is not so steep or makes it tiring for people to climb. We reached the top in about 15-20 minutes, and sat on a site which was full of big rocks on the top and ate food we were carrying with us.

Kingdom of Dreams was surely a dream come true for all of us.  We had a wonderful time throughout especially at the musical show.  Each state was represented by way of dance and cuisine. My friends and I joined the Bhangra.

PYP Exhibition 2014 PDF Print E-mail

Students of GD Goneka World School, Sohna Road, under the guidance of their mentor undertook the study 'The truth about nutritional deficiencies'. They researched about the need for healthy diet, disease caused by the deficiencies of various nutrients and worked collaboratively with the responsibility group to spread awareness both in and out the school. Students has prepared a streetplay 'Jeene Ki Raah' which was presented at 'Raahgiri Day' and was later aired by All India Radio on FM Rainbow'102.6.

PYP Sparta - 2014 PDF Print E-mail

The Goenkan grounds an expansive stretch of green, was the venue of the annual Primary Year Program, Sparta, the joy to the world. The head of the school and principal, Dr Neeta Bali extended a warm welcome to all. Col Bhanwala, an Arjuna awardee, graced the occasion as the chief guest and his presence, coupled with the enthusiastic crowd supported and encouraged the athletes to lift their performance by several notches.

The Goenkan Grounds, an expansive stretch of green, was the venue of the Annual PYP Sparta -The joy to the world on the morning of March 14, 2014. The day had dawned bright and clear with just the hint of a chill to make it pleasant for both spectators and participants alike. The whole playground had been decorated with flags and buntings.The Head of School and Principal Dr. Neeta Bali extended a warm welcome to all.
