Hargun Sangha makes the school proud again. In an event, The 8th Pardeep Tokas Memorial Open Swimming Meet 2013, held in K.V. Air force Station, Gurgaon, she made us proud by winning 2 bronze medals in the following events; 50m Back stroke and 50m Breast stroke. She is a passionate swimmer and hopes to one day participate at international level competitions and perhaps win merits there also. |

The annual PYP Rain Dance took place on Tuesday April 30, bringing relief from the summer heat for children and teachers alike. Gathering in the PYP Courtyard, everyone enjoyed under the cool, fresh water cascading from the roof top! Attired in brightly coloured bathing suits, even the small children were determined to splash around with friends. Our vivacious children had fun with scintillating music. They danced with their friends and teachers, never wanted to come out of water. All in all children really enjoyed the day. |

School head and prin-News.nspor In Educaton cipal Neeta Bali initiat-ed the process of strengthening the spirit of international-ism in the school through various activi-ties, which were conducted and coordi-nated by the ISA co-ordinator, Madhu Bhargava and other staff members, in col-laboration with schools in the USA, Brazil, Scotland, Croatia, Japan, India, Portugal and China. The evidence based dossier was submitted to the British Council for accreditation which has been approved for the years 2013-16.

G D Goenka World School, organised the Graduation day for the outgoing batch of 2013 on April 13. After the lamp lighting ceremony, the TB co-ordinator of the school addressed the students and applauded the high achiev-• ers of the institution. This was followed by the presentation of souvenirs to the outgoing batch as a token of benedic-tion. School principal Dr Neeta Bali wel-comed the dignitaries of GD Goenka In-stitute.

With the encouragement and support of the Management of G D Goenka World School,Mrs. Neeta Bali, the Head of school and Principal, , initiated the process of further strengthening the spirit of internationalism in the school and applied for International School Award to British council, India. Various activities were conducted and coordinated by the ISA Coordinator, Mrs. Madhu Bhargava, in collaboration with schools in the USA, Brazil, Scotland, Croatia, Japan, India, Portugal and China.  GD Goenka World School, Sohna, 'trendy hosted its
Annual at the Epicentre, Sohna. Actor Joyshree Arora was the
chief guest while well known Sitar maestro Prateek Chaudhuri and
Renu Goenka, vice chairperson of GD Goenka Group, were the guests
of honour. The show was a journey through the season portrayed by
the students through song and dance. In the evening show the
audience were enthralled by the ballet 'Little Krishna'.

Graduation Day for the outgoing batch of 2013 of G D Goenka World School , Sohna, was conducted on the 13th of April 2013 was a truly solemn function. It was amazing to witness the grandeur of the occasion. The ceremony began with the graduates entering the dining hall with the measured strides to honour the dignity of the day, raring to step into the new wide world.

GDGWS students of grades PYP and Middle School participated in an Art Competition – ‘MITSUBHISHI ASIAN CHILDREN’S ENIKKI FESTA-2012-2013’ organized by Mitsubishi Public Affairs Committee, Tokyo (Japan) Confederation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations of India, Asia Pacific Federation of UNESCO clubs and Associations and World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations.Total 9699 entries were received by the organization and after screening of the entries jury selected 8 entries for adjudgment by the International Screening Committee. |

Two teachers of Oban High School, Scotland visited G.D.Goenka World School from April 8th-10th, 2013 to develop partnership on ‘Learn to preserve-endangered species’. Students have already researched and shared information on endangered species of India and Scotland. The students of G.D. Goenka World School declared the week as ‘Animal Awareness Action Week’ and presented excellent assemblies and exhibition portraying various issues related to endangered animals of India. |
