G D Goenka World School staff visit Partner School in Scotland PDF Print E-mail

G D Goenka World School had embarked on a partnership with the Oban High School in Scotland a year ago. Students undertook various literacy projects and projects related to conservation of Wildlife with the partner school .To further strengthen this partnership, Dr Neeta Bali , The Principal , accompanied by the Dean of Libraries, Madhu Bhargava , visited the Oban High School in June.

Students Of G.D Goenka World School Attend Language Immersion Programme In Paris PDF Print E-mail

Seventeen students, along with two teachers, participated in the language immersion programme at St. Joseph’s School, Paris, from 31st May to 6th June, 2014. This cross-cultural learning was a phenomenal experience for us and the host school as well.

Summertime is pool time. With soaring temperatures, PYP students flocked to the swimming pool to cool off and to experience the best aqua time ever.


The structured games played in the pool surely lived up to any aqua holiday. As well, they helped to serve as fun ways to get more exercise and build team spirit. All games played were complimenting the theme, Ibiza Aqua Fun.

The house-meeting slot of Wednesday, 21st May 2014, was utilized by the Dance department to show-case the creativity and talent of our students as they performed a series of dances that displayed rhythm and dexterity through some incredible foot and hand work. It was plain for all to see that our students are not just bundles of energy, but that when this energy is harnessed through dance, they are an absolute delight to watch.

G D Goenka World School, Sohna, Participated in the painting competition 'Colour my Life' and brought accolades to the school. Student Ye Jun Park of class VIII walked away with the first prize - a cash award of Rs. 11000 and a 10 day workshop with one of the finest artists of the country.

These advertisements familiarize kids with the latest products in the market and inculcate some good habits in them, such as, the ones related to dental hygiene. However, the ad-filmmakers should remember that the commercials can also have negative impact on people, especially the young children.

Thirty-six school students were conferred the first Tiranga Badge Awards today at a ceremony at Bal Bhawan, New Delhi for their contributions in the field of social service.

The awards, instituted by the Flag Foundation of India, were given to students in the age group of 12-20 who have contributed to the welfare of schools, colleges, society, city or the country.

17 Goenkan swimmers (PYP & MSP) participated in the 9th Pradeep Tokas Memorial Open Swimming Meet 2014 at the BABA GANGANATH SWIMMING POOL, KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA, SECTOR 14- GURGAON on Sunday,11th May 2014 from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The swimmers were accompanied by the school swimming coach, Vijayashree Pahal and the life guards (Naveen Tokas and Jaiveer Sharma).

Ye Jun Park of Grade 8 walked away with the first prize [cash prize of 11,000 and a 10 day workshop with one of the finest artists of our country] in the finals of the painting competition 'colour my life'. The awards were given away  at the Epicentre where the top 50 finalists works were displayed. His was chosen from these by a panel of judges among who are some of the known names in the world of Art.
